One of the factors in the success of an organization's business is definitely inventory management and the methods that are used for the same. In the modern world, the JIT method of inventory management is very often applied, which is characterized by order and delivery and the use of parts just in time, as well as the minimization or zero inventory of materials in the warehouse. Application of the JIT method is characteristic of one of the world's largest automobile companies, Toyota. With the help of this method, Toyota, as well as all other organizations that apply it, influence their business success through better organization of production, increase in product quality, reduction or complete elimination of stocks and delivery to customers exactly when needed. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the role and importance of inventory in organizations and the purpose and possibilities of applying the Just In Time model of inventory management in organizations.
