Supply chain management is increasingly recognized as the management of key business processes in the network of organizations that make up the supply chain. Lean techniques have been implemented in various industries. This paper deals with the effectiveness of specific lean techniques in different industries and their application in the supply chain. Lean management represents a continuous process of improvement within the supply chain, aimed at identifying and eliminating unnecessary waste of resources. The aim of this research is to evaluate the performance of lean based on the specific techniques and methods of implementation that are used; analyze strategies for implementing lean in the supply chain; and analyze the reasons for both their success and failure. Supply chains often face challenges in achieving their goals and strategies, therefore the "Lean" concept of supply chain management is extremely useful for improving supply chain organization and logistics performance. This method is now ubiquitous in various sectors of supply chains.
