This final paper critically deals with the emergence of the ideology of neoliberalism in education. Neoliberalism can be defined as a political and economic doctrine based on the assumption that human well-being will be achieved when free trade and a market in which entrepreneurial freedom and ability are expressed are introduced. This situation was also reflected in the education system, which is changing its essence under the influence of neoliberal politics. One of the most significant changes is certainly the privatization of all social spheres, including education. In addition to the mentioned privatization, there are many accompanying changes, such as the introduction of so-called vouchers for education, ranking and standardization, drastic changes in the curriculum and its subordination to the market, which leads to the emergence of subjects such as entrepreneurship or management, there are also changes related to the employment of professors, their education, teaching methods and more. Due to all the above, the academic freedoms of pupils, students and teachers are significantly vulnerable. Neoliberalism leads to the increasing marginalization of the poor and further promotes the present inequality. This is the main target of criticism of the neoliberal concept of education.
