The subject of diploma paper is „ostranenie“ (estrangement, marvel) affirmation in Danijel Dragojević's poetry. He started publishing his poems during the of what is called razlogovska (Reason's) generation of the second modern, in other words with writers that immersed them self together around literature paper Razlog during the 1960's. Although he shares some poetic elements with Razlogovci, the critics agree that his writings aren't a part of the mainstream style of the 60's and needs to be studied as an individual poetry model. He is a well versed writer therefore we can find many different incentives in his work all the way from Croatian tradition, world literature and philosophy to fine art. Nonetheless, despite having a great deal of incentives in his work he created his own writing style and philosophy trough which he formed his work. After we have reviewed Dragojević's bio – bibliography and described his poetic style on more general level we have interpreted poems from various poetry books and determined main „ostranenie“ (estrangement, marvel) methods in his writings. The methods are: the subject' fascination that is based on phenomenology matrix and philosophy, specific poetry procedures: subject's duality, elements of play and substation, subject's projections and identifications with an observed objects, subject's meshing with nature, unexpected maximes, ingrained motives connected with subjects fascinations, unusual perspectives and hybrid genre. To describe lyrical, poetry procedures and methods we have also used terms reverie, matteral imagination and poetic of the other that are used in critical literature to describe Dragojević's writings.
