The typo-chronological analysis encompassed stone and bone finds discovered at Vlakno site during 2011 excavation season. The finds were recovered from the deepest layers hitherto excavated at the site. The break between the two distinctive horizons is represented by a layer consisting exclusively of gravel and a negligible number of finds. This layer can be related to the effects of the latest glacial maximum (LGM) which is supported by a radiocarbon date (17 530 cal. B.C., the date refers to the earlier horizon(I)). Technological categories in both horizons are best represented by flakes. Bladelets are better represented than blades in the later horizon, while in the earlier horizon their representation is about the same. The distance between Vlakno and the sources of the most represented raw material in both horizons is greater than 100 km, based on the assumed distances between the site and the sources of raw material. The greatest number of chaine operateur phases is recorded for raw material of local origin (both horizons). The best represented technological category in the later horizon is backed bladelets while backed bladelets, points and retouched blades are best represented in the earlier horizon and their distribution is about the same.
