The subject of this final paperwork is: Phenomenon of suicide in young age and function bachelor nurses have in prevention of suicide. Suicide is act, activity or action with which one person, in her own will, consciously and planned decides to end her own life. In practice we meet with different types of suicide. Epidemiology and statistical data are warning us of increasing growth in suicidal behavior in young age. Therefore, it's very important for us, as medical staff, to know how to estimate the risk of suicide, recognize risk factors, know the difference and educate the population about misconceptions and myths of suicide, parasuicide and pay special attention to the occurrence of suicide in young age, on what encourages young people in such frightening act. How school effects the suicidal behavior, how to recognize young person in crisis and find out what young people think about suicide and suicidal behavior. The second part of this paper work is about suicide prevention, which has three stages (primary, secondary and tertiary), how to help suicidaly threatend person and how to reduce suicide rates in young population, and in general population, through different media and public health approach.
