European Union trade policy is a key factor in the unification of European countries. Its primary objective was to abolish customs and other possible restrictions on free trade. The European Union, as the world's most important importer and exporter, is an important participant in multilateral trade liberalization, and her most important partners are United States of America, China and Russia. The United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium and France, as members of the European Union, have been trying to maintain close ties with their former colonies in the African, Caribbean and Pacific area. Long-term cooperation with these regions is related to unilateral preferences, with the aim of encouraging the growth and industrialization of these countries.
