The advent of globalization and the development of computers have led to significant questions regarding the impact of media content on its users. When thinking on early childhood development and its significance to worldwide cultures, younger audiences should be introduced and instructed on how to use computers to better understand and participate in the world. Preschool-aged children that may be more impressionable and easier to manipulate require special attention when presenting these newer technological tools. Frequently asked questions explored in this paper include: From what age can a child understand a computer, what computer-related competencies can we expect from younger children, and what is the appropriate educational content for young children. For a child to learn how to use a computer in a positive and safe manner; educators and parents must be well-versed in these technologies in order to better instruct and guide others in navigating the digital landscape. This paper also seeks to explore the methods and educational software that can be used for students in both kindergartens and homes. With the current COVID-19 crisis and increased work stoppages, educational institutions are at a disadvantage. Educators, parents, and children have to rely on their own digital skills so that they may provide an uninterrupted kindergarten and preschool education—while also keeping in touch with their educators and friends.
