Abstract
Audiovisual translation is a specialized field of translation which started to rapidly develop in the last decade of the twentieth century. This thesis was concerned with one of its most recognizable modes i.e. dubbing. The task of the paper was to analyse the problems which occur during the process of dubbing on the example of animated film Finding Nemo and to see whether the dubbed version is a faithful representation of the original. The study proved that the translators managed to produce a faithful and authentic translation which resulted in general acceptance of the film.

Audiovizaulno prevođenje specijalizirana je vrsta prevođenja koja se počela ubrzano razvijati u zadnjem desetljeću dvadesetog stoljeća. Tema ovog završnog rada bila je sinkronizacija kao jedan od najpoznatijih načina audiovizualnog prevođenja. Cilj rada bio je analizirati probleme koji se pojavljuju prilikom sinkronizacije na primjeru filma Potraga za Nemom i vidjeti odgovara li sinkronizirana verzija originalnoj. Istraživanje je pokazalo kako su prevoditelji uspjeli proizvesti vjernu i istovremeno originalnu verziju filma što je rezultiralo pozitivnim kritikama.
