U istraživanju se koristila Endlerova multidimenzionalna skala anksioznosti (EMAS-T; Endler i Parker, 1990, hrvatska verzija Sorić, 1995) i Multidimenzionalna skala perfekcionizma (MPS-F; Frost i sur., 1990, hrvatska verzija Zubčić i Vulić-Prtorić, 2008).
Abstract (english) Since professional work on music talent requires precision, organization and responsiveness to errors, it is expected that perfectionism as a trait might be particularly important for the success of musicians. Numerous studies indicate that perfectionism correlates with various dimensions of anxiety. Therefore, the aim of this research was to examine the relationship between perfectionism and anxiety as a trait in the high school music students. Additionaly, the relationship between perfectionism and school success was also investigated. In this study, 105 students from Zadar, Split, Osijek and Šibenik participated, of which 71 female students and 34 male students. The participants were between 15 and 18 years old, the average age being 16.26 (sd = 1.11). For the purpose of this research, Endler's Multidimensional Anxiety Scale (EMAS-T; Endler & Parker, 1990, croatian version Sorić, 1995) and Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (MPS-F; Frost et al., 1990, croatian version Zubčić & Vulić-Prtorić, 2008) were used. The results of this research indicate a positive correlation between perfectionism and anxiety as a trait among high school music students. Additional analyzes established positive correlation between nonadaptive perfectionism and anxiety as a trait, while between adaptive perfectionism and anxiety as a trait significant relationship was not established. This research also found that there is no significant relationship between school performance in music school and perfectionism, nor between school performance in regular school and perfectionism. However, a positive correlation was found between adaptive perfectionism and school performance; the more pronounced adaptive perfectionism is, the higher the grade point average.
