Abstract
Literary translation is one of the most complex forms of translating as social, cultural and linguistic features differ from language to language. In this field, the translation of poetry can be referred to as one of the most difficult types of literacy translation as it not only includes the translation of meaning, but also the sound, rhythm, rhyme, and form. This paper includes the analysis of the Croatian translations of Sylvia Plath's poems “Daddy” and “Lady Lazarus”. The translation of “Daddy” is by Simo Mraović and Vivijana Radman and the translation of “Lady Lazarus” is by Jadranka Slovković Glumac. Through this paper strategies these translator used to produce Croatian translations will be analysed.

Književno prevođenje jedna je od najkompleksnijih formi prevođenje jer društvene, kulturne i lingvističke karakteristike variraju od jezika do jezika. U ovom području, za prevođenje poezije može se reći da je jedan od najzahtjevnijih oblika književnog prijevoda jer ne uključuje samo prevođenje značenja, već i zvuka, ritma, rime i forme. Ovaj rad uključuje analizu hrvatskih prijevoda pjesama “Daddy” i “Lady Lazarus” Sylvije Plath. Prijevod pjesme “Daddy” napravili su Simo Mraović i Vivijana Radman, a prijevod “Lady Lazarus” Jadranka Slovković Glumac. Kroz ovaj rad će se analizirati strategije koje su navedeni prevoditelji koristili u stvaranju hrvatskih prijevoda.
