Abstract
Za uspješno ostvarivanje svojih ciljeva i bolje poznavanje svojih učenika s posebnim potrebna, suvremena škola bi trebala osigurati kvalitetnu suradnju profesora i asistenta u nastavi. Asistent je izuzetno važna osoba u uspješnom odgojno-obrazovnom uključivanju učenika s posebnim potrebama. Rad je koncipiran u nekoliko cjelina. U uvodu ćemo se upoznati s pojmom asistent u nastavi i s njegovim najvažnijim obilježjima. Zatim će biti govora o tome tko su učenici s posebnim potrebama, o kombiniranim smetnjama koje ima učenik s kojim radim te obilježja svake pojedine smetnje. Pisati ću i o individualiziranom odgojno-obrazovnom programu i njegovim najvažnijim značajkama, o suradnji učitelja, roditelja i asistenta te o njenoj važnosti za rad s djetetom s posebnim potrebama, a u studiji slučaja prikazan je model suradnje asistenta i učenika s posebnim potrebama koji je integriran u redovnu nastavu.

In order to successfully achieve its goals and to accomplish a better understanding of students with special needs, modern schools should ensure good cooperation of professors and teaching assistants. A teaching assistant is an extremely important figure in a successful educational integration of children with special needs. This thesis is divided into several sections. In the introduction, we will become more familiar with the concept of teaching assistant, as well as with its most important characteristics. Then I will mention who students with special needs are, what combined interferences the student with whom I work has, and the characteristics of each interference. Further on there will be described individualized educational program and its most important features, the cooperation of teachers, parents and assistants and its importance in work with a student with special needs. The case study section describes a model of cooperation of assistants and students with special needs which is integrated into the regular classes.
