Abstract
This Master thesis offers the analysis of the anthroponymic inventory from the Register of baptisms of Opuzen parish for the period between 2009 and 2019. The analysis is conducted on three different levels relating to frequency, origin (etymology) and structure of anthroponyms from the Register. The analysis is based on the theoretical background which presents basic propositions and principles of onomastic theory as well as the development of onomastics in Croatia. Furthermore, historical influences of ancient anthroponymic fund and motivations in the process of nomination have been presented in the theoretical part of the work as well. The results of the analyzed data are presented in the forms of tables and charts presenting three different levels of the analysis. Therefore, the first table and chart present frequency of personal names in Opuzen parish from the most prominent to the rarest name for both male and female anthroponymic inventory from the Register, the second table presents personal names development from their language of origin to Croatian, whereas pie chart demonstrates diversity of anthroponyms in terms of their origin as well as number of names per different origin. The last table presents classification of names into five basic categories depending on their structure (simple, truncated, derived, complex and double names) whereas pie chart displays number of names per each category. Lastly, social and historical factors which affected the choice of personal names recorded in the Register of baptisms of Opuzen parish were elaborated in this paper.

Ovaj diplomski rad donosi analizu antroponimijskog fonda župe Opuzen temeljenu na osobnim imenima prikupljenim iz Matice krštenih za razdoblje od 2009. do 2019. Analiza osobnih imena zabilježenih u Matici krštenih provedena je na tri različite razine koje se odnose na: učestalost, podrijetlo (etimologiju) i strukturu osobnih imena iz Matice krštenih. Analiza se zasniva na teoretskom okviru koji počiva na temeljnim postavkama i načelima onomastičke teorije, kao i na razvoju onomastike u Hrvatskoj. Nadalje, u teoretskom okviru rada predstavljen je utjecaj antičkog antroponimijskog fonda na razvoj hrvatskih osobnih imena kao i motivacija u postupku imenovanja. Dobiveni rezultati analiziranog antroponimijskog fonda predstavljeni su u obliku tablica i dijagrama koji se odnose na tri različite razine analize. Prva tablica i dijagram predstavljaju učestalost imena, od najučestalijeg do najrjeđeg imena u župi, kako za muški, tako i za ženski antroponimijski inventar iz Matice. Druga tablica predstavlja razvoj osobnih imena od njihovog jezika podrijetla do Hrvatskog, dok dijagram prikazuje raznolikost imena prema podrijetlu kao i broj imena zastupljenih prema različitom podrijetlu. Posljednja tablica predstavlja klasifikaciju imena u pet različitih kategorija na osnovi njihove structure (jednostavna, pokraćena, izvedena, složena i dvostruka imena) dok dijagram prikazuje zastupljenost imena u svakoj od navedenih kategorija. Konačno, u radu su elaborirani društveni i povijesni čimbenici koji su utjecali na izbor osobnih imena posljednjih deset godina u Matici krštenih župe Opuzen.
