Abstract
Rad obrađuje određene stihove Homerovih epova Ilijade i Odiseje u kojima se uočavaju metrički modificirane riječi. Epovi su, naime, pisani u heksametru te je pjesnik na nekim mjestima morao izvršiti glasovne promjene kako bi se ispunila potreba metra. U radu se takvi stihovi analiziraju te se uočava na kojim mjestima i na koje se načine slog produljuje: kada je produljen vokal iza kojeg slijedi drugi vokal, kada je produljen početni vokal nakon kojeg slijedi drugi vokal ili je produljen vokal ispred konsonanta. Postoje i slučajevi u kojima se duljenje javlja na početku samog stiha. U radu su opisana stajališta recentnih autora, koji su se posvetili toj problematici, te su navedena pravila po kojima je Homer, oblikujući riječi, slagao stihove.
Abstract (english)
This paper discusses verses of Homer´s epics Iliad and Odyssey and in which metrically modified words are noted. The epics are written in hexameter and to implement the need of the meter, poet had to modify the words. In the paper, such verses are analyzed to see where and in which foot the syllable is performed: the extended vocal followed by the second vocal, and there is a combination of the initial extended vocal followed by the second vocal and the extended vocal in front of the consonant. There are also cases in which strangulation occurs at the beginning of the verse itself. This paper gives us recent authors views, who had devoted themselves to the this issue, and also lists the rules by which Homer composed verses when forming words.
