El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar las principales características de los textos que pertenecen al campo médico, la parte teórica y a través de un ejemplo concreto. Al principio está presentada brevemente la historia del lenguaje médico y su desarrollo hasta los días de hoy. Están presentadas sus características, los principales desafíos traductológicos que necesariamente forman parte de este tipo de texto, y está comprobada la influencia que tiene la lengua inglesa sobre, en este caso en concreto, las lenguas croata y española. En la segunda parte del trabajo se encuentran dos textos; un artículo de investigación y otro artículo para informar a un público más amplio sobre la Enfermedad de Alzheimer, el tema que comparten estos dos artículos, con la correspondiente traducción. Sigue el análisis traductológico que embarca algunos de los elementos discutidos en la parte introductoria, y otros casos de interés traductológico.

The aim of this paper is to present the main characteristics of the texts in the medical field, the theoretical part and through a concrete example. At the beginning, the history of medical language and its development to this day are briefly presented. Its characteristics, the main challenges of translation that always form part of this type of articles are presented, and the influence of the English language on, in this case in particular, the Croatian and Spanish languages is proven. In the second part of the work are articles; a research article and another article to inform a wider audience about Alzheimer's Disease, the topic shared by these two articles, with the corresponding translation. Furthermore there is analysis of translation that embarks some of the elements discussed in the introductory part, and other cases of interest for the field of translation.
