Abstract
Le présent mémoire a pour objectif de présenter la traduction de plusieurs nouvelles de l’auteur belge Vincent Engel et d’en fournir une analyse traductologique qui sera centrée sur la problématique de traduction des usages ludiques du langage. Tandis que la première partie portera sur la traduction du corpus choisi, dans la deuxième nous essaierons de mettre en perspective les problèmes surgis au cours de l’activité traduisante. A ce titre nous nous emploierons à examiner la problématique liée à la transposition des jeux de mots, ainsi que la pertinence de leur traduction vers le croate. Lors de ce travail nous prendrons largement appui sur les réflexions de Jacqueline Henry.
Abstract (croatian)
U ovom diplomskom radu ponudit ćemo prijevod nekoliko kratkih priĉa belgijskog autora Vincenta Engela te pristupiti traduktološkoj analizi u kojoj ćemo obraditi probleme koji se javljaju pri prevoĊenju igri rijeĉi s francuskoga na hrvatski jezik. Osim toga, dotaknut ćemo se i ostalih elemenata u tekstu koji svojom semantiĉkom, fonetiĉkom ili kulturološkom sloţenošću oteţavaju prevoditeljski posao. Dok ćemo u prvom, praktiĉnom dijelu, pristupiti samom prevoĊenju, u drugome ćemo se nastojati posvetiti analizi problema s kojima smo se susretali tijekom prevoĊenja. Nadalje, pokušat ćemo ponuditi uvid u problematiku prevoĊenja igri rijeĉi te ispitati podobnost njihovog prijevoda na hrvatski jezik. Tijekom pisanja rada uvelike ćemo se osloniti na razmišljanja francuske teoretiĉarke Jacqueline Henry.
Abstract (english)
The present paper is intended to present a translation of a variety of short stories written by the Belgian author Vincent Engel, as well as to provide a corresponding analysis which will chiefly focus on the issues related to translating wordplays and other authorial interventions based on the manipulation of language. Whereas the first part of the work deals with the translation of our corpus, in the second one we will apply ourselves to examining the setbacks encountered during our activity. We will try to put into perspective the problems linked with transferring puns, along with sheding light on the relevance of their counterparts in the Croatian language. Throughout our analysis we will mainly lean on the ideas brought to us by the French theoretician Jacqueline Henry.
