Abstract
Tipu društvenih medija pripada i blog, čije razumijevanje sadžaja zahtjeva praćenje tijekom vremena. Uloga mode u društvu je višestruka, a u prvom redu njome izražavamo svoj identitet, konstruiramo i održavamo kulturne ideale i zadaće.

Parallel abstract (English)
The media today, whether we like it or not, is an inevitable item in the life of every social being. They affect every person differently, directly and indirectly forming them. They facilitate user communication and exchange of views, experiences and opinions on a daily basis. One of the types of social media is also a blog, comprehending which requires observing over time. Blogging takes place in posts that are related to each other thus becoming part of a larger story. Reading and monitoring posts in a blog can be compared to getting to know a person or watching a certain series. Blog is a modern kind of online diary, and as such offers cheap and easy way of publishing and distribution to the masses. The role of fashion in society is various, but primarily used to express identity, construct and maintain the cultural ideals and objectives. Regardless of a person having opinion of fashion as “irrelevant”, it affects his life as it’s an expression of himself. Man is by nature defined by the way he clothe and accessorizes. When it comes to fashion, it’s not a surprising fact that the major growth of fashion blogs had an impact on fashion itself. Therefore the development of fashion blogs, resulted in profiling their authors into celebrities attaining millions in profits. In Croatia, there is still no possibility in turning a hobby into a business and it’s not in sight in the near future. At the same time new social networks are overshadowing fashion blogging scene. Young people, in general, do not follow blogs, and are certainly do not follow fashion blogs. Students of Ekonomsko- birotehnička škola in Split, where the research was conducted, showed in their answers to the poll that they are not familiar with fashion blogs, whether domestic or foreign.
