Abstract
Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je provjeriti odnos osobina ličnosti, radne angažiranosti i akademskog uspjeha. Sudionici ovog istraživanja bili su studenti različitih studijskih usmjerenja s različitih fakulteta u Hrvatskoj. Podaci u ovom istraživanju bili su prikupljeni trima skalama: Studentskom verzijom Utrecht skale radne angažiranosti, Skalom temeljnih samoevaluacija te HEXACO upitnikom ličnosti. Dobiveni rezultati su ukazali da su radno angažiraniji i studenti s višim temeljnim samoevaluacijama također i akademski uspješniji. Rezultati prve hijerarhijske regresijske analize pokazali su da su temeljne samoevaluacije te dimenzije savjesnosti, otvorenosti k iskustvu, ekstraverzije i emocionalnosti bili značajni pozitivni prediktori radne angažiranosti. Rezultati druge hijerarhijske analize pokazali su kako su temeljne samoevaluacije i dimenzije ekstraverzije, emocionalnosti i savjesnosti značajni pozitivni prediktori akademskog uspjeha.

Parallel abstract (English)
The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between personality traits, work engagement and academic success. The participants of this study were students of different college majors from Croatia. The data were collected using three scales: Student version of Utrecht scale of work engagement, Core self-evaluations scale and HEXACO personality inventory. Obtained results showed that more work engaged students and those with higher core self-evaluations were also more academically successful. Results of the first hierarchical regression analysis showed that core self-evaluations, and personality traits consciouseness, openness to experience, extraversion and emotionality were significant positive predictors of work engagement. Results of the second hierarchical regression analysis showed that core selfevaluations and personality traits extraversion, emotionality and consciouseness were significant positive predictors of academic success.
