This paper discusses the organization of data for the purposes of programming logic with the example of mapping data to objects using the SQLAlchemy ORM in the Python programming language. The purpose of this paper is to compare tools and formats for data storage and exchange and to see how they affect the needs of program logic. The aim of this paper is to present the advantages of mapping data to objects and compare it with conventional databases. The paper shows how to store data in JSON and XML formats, databases (SQLite, MongoDB) and how that works using the SQLAlchemy ORM. As an example, a program was created that uses the SQLAlchemy ORM to map data to objects, which then functions as an SQLite database. In order to be able to compare the ways of storing and retrieving data, databases in MongoDB and SQLite were also created. At the end of the paper is presented a table with results, which explains the advantages and disadvantages and shows how to carry out certain actions in each of the databases. The main advantages of data mapping to objects were found to be interoperability, ease of use and the possibility of further development and improvement. Although ORM has proven to be a very good solution for creating databases, the classic databases will still exist, because certain aspects can be taken as a subjective opinion, which ultimately depends on the user who decides which option is better for him.
