Tema ovog rada je neretvansko lađarstvo tijekom povijesti odnosno pregled plovidbene prošlosti donjoneretvanske doline, razmatran uz sve uključujuće geografske i druge elemente. Prvo se poglavlje bavi geografskim odlikama donjeg toka Neretve koje su, kao poveznica između kontinentalnog i mediteranskog svijeta, uvjetovale plovidbeni potencijal ovog kraja. Sljedećih se nekoliko poglavlja bavi plovidbenom prošlošću ljudi koji su živjeli uz Neretvu, od najstarijih prapovijesnih nalaza pa sve do... More razvitka i rada pločanske luke. Uz povijesni pregled ta poglavlja sadrže i podatke o plovilima kojima je ta prošlost kreirana te razmatranja o hidrografskim mijenama koje su na tu prošlost utjecale. Posljednje se poglavlje, koje je nastalo na temelju terenskog istraživanja, bavi neretvanskim plovilima današnjice: lađom, trupicom i trupom. Less
Abstract (english)
The topic and title of this paper is history of naval activities in Neretva region, that is, an overview of the navigational past of the lower Neretva valley, considered with all inclusive geographical and other elements. The first chapter deals with the geographical features of the lower course of the Neretva, which, as a link between the continental and Mediterranean worlds, determined the navigation potential of this area. The next few chapters deal with the navigational past of the... More people who lived along the Neretva, from the oldest prehistoric finds, all the way to the development and operation of the port of Ploče. In addition to the historical overview, these chapters also contain information about the vessels that created that past, and considerations about the hydrographic changes that affected that past.
