Abstract
The first two decades of the 21st century have been marked by the rule of technology - the Internet, smart devices, and social networks have become an inevitable part of human life and it can be said that people of today experience their reality through an additional dimension - the virtual one. The digital world has given people insight into the multitude of information and content, and thus the opportunity to express their opinions, views, and criticisms. Thus, among other things, discussions... More about languages and all aspects of language took place on the Internet. One of them is the attitude towards the beauty of the language - the German language is often the target of criticism and ridicule by users around the world who express their disapproval of this language in the form of comments and funny videos. This paper aimed to find out where the negative phonaesthetic attitudes towards certain languages originate from, i.e. what makes them unattractive to the listener's ear, using the example of the German language for obvious reasons. The main question is, therefore, whether there are external factors that cause individuals to have a negative attitude towards a certain language, or whether it is simply a matter of some languages being inherently auditory "unattractive". For this, it was necessary to comment on relevant content from the popular social networks Instagram and Reddit, and a survey was conducted among individuals who were offered, based on several videos, to assess which language they liked or disliked. Research has shown that - when certain factors are "reversed" and German is presented in a slightly more positive light than is normally the case on the Internet, this language ranks high, alongside other popular European languages. Prva dva desetljeća 21. stoljeća obilježena su snažnim razvojem tehnologije - od Interneta i pametnih uređaja do društvenih mreža koje su postale neizbježan dio ljudskog života, pa se može reći da se danas realnost doživljava i kroz dodatnu dimenziju – onu virtualnu. Digitalni svijet je omogućio uvid u mnoštvo informacija i sadržaja, a s time je omogućeno i izražavanje mišljenja, stavova i kritika. Pored svega, rasprave o stranim jezicima i svim njihovim aspektima odvijaju se na internetu.... More Jedna od njih je i rasprava o ljepoti jezika. Njemački jezik je često tema takvih kritika i ismijavanja od strane korisnika koji izražavaju svoje nezadovoljvstvo ovim jezikom kroz različite komentare i smiješne video uradke. Cilj ovog završnog rada je pronaći izvor negativnih stavova prema određenom jeziku, npr. što ih čini neprivlačnim uhu, koristeći se primjerom njemačkog jezika iz očitih razloga. Glavno pitanje kojim se rad bavi je, jesu li vanjski faktori uzrokovali da pojedinci imaju negativan stav prema određenom jeziku ili su neki jezici sami po sebi neprivlačni za slušanje. Za potrebe ovoga rada bilo je važno komentirati važne sadržaje sa popularnih društvenih mreža; Instagrama i Reddita. Provedeno je i istraživanje među ispitinacima kojima je bilo ponuđeno da na osnovu nekoliko videa procjene koji im se strani jezik sviđa, odnosno ne sviđa. Istraživanje je pokazalo da obrtanjem određenih faktora i prezentiranjem njemačkog jezika u pozitivnijem tonu nego što je to inače slučaj na internetu, ovaj jezik zapravo visoko rangira, i to rame uz rame drugim popularnim europskim jezicima.
