Abstract (english) Natural forms of movement or biotic motor knowledge are a spontaneous way of movement that a child begins to realize instinctivily in the period from birth to the third year of life. They are the foundation of proper growth and development and represent the backbone of physical exercise with children of nursery age. By moving, exploring, manipulating, a small child gets to know himself, his body as well as the world around him. The „first step“ is a key moment in every child's life. By walking, the child expands the boundaries of exploring the space that surrounds him, and with further motor development, other forms of movement are perfected, such as running, jumping, dragging, throwing, climbing, pushing, pulling...Therefore, the important role of educators in the nursery is to encourage phycical development, by providing children with a multitude of opportunities and situations to improve these skills that emerge developmentally. The aim of this thesis is to point out the importance of conducting physical activities and exercise with children of nursery age, which encourage and satisfy natural forms of movement. The paper conducted a short research on the principle of a survey questionnaire which sought to investigate the frequency of biotic motor activities in everyday work with children of nursery age. The research sample included 120 educators. The questionnaire was completely anonymous, and due to the specific epidemiological situation (COVID – 19), the respondents filled it out on - line, via social networks. The results of the research show that educators belive that it is extremely important to encourage children to engage in physical activity from an early age. They also belive that the implementation of physical activities depends mostly on the personal motivation of educators , then on adequate space and quality equipment. The vast majority of educators are considered competent enough to carry out these activities, but a small part of educators belive that it would be good to have the help of a professional such as a kinesiologist, as well as the possibility of additional education.
