One of the newer approaches in the upbringing and education of children is the outdoor approach. This approach became popular in the 1950s in Denmark. As awareness of the importance and benefits of being in the nature has grown, the prevalence of this approach has increased and many forest preschools have been opened throughout Europe and the world. Forest preschools differ from regular preschools because they do not have a predetermined curriculum, and daily activities depend on the interests of children and the seasons. Learning takes place in nature, in any weather conditions, and children, instead of commercial didactic materials, deftly use a saw and a hammer. Many scientific studies indicate numerous advantages, but also the consequences of insufficient stay in nature. Confident, imaginative, empathetic and healthy children are just some of the benefits of the outdoor curriculum. The goal of this research is to give a comprehensive overview of the outdoor curriculums in forest preschools. In accordance with the goal, this paper will analyze the curriculums of several forest preschools in Europe and the world. The paper also shows a visit to the forest preschool "Forest Children" in Pula, a presentation of their daily rhythm, activities, ways of functioning and an interview.
