Abstract
Turizam u suvremenom dobu je jedna od društveno-ekonomskih pojava koja je poprimila globalne razmjere. Razvojem tehnologije čovjek je dobio priliku promišljeno iskorištavati svoje slobodno vrijeme. Razvoj turizma u Hrvatskoj dugujemo velikom broju prirodnih i društvenih resursa, a grad Zadar kao turistička destinacija njima obiluje. Zahvaljujući tim resursima, grad Zadar implementacijom sportsko-rekreativnog turizma stvara mogućnost za razvoja trenutne turističke ponude. Ovaj rad se bavi analizom općenitih ekonomskih i socioloških aspekata razvoja turizma, kao i potencijalnim razvojem grada Zadra kao turističke destinacije.
Abstract (english)
Tourism as a social progress and an economic activity of modern age have taken global impact. With the development of technology, a man has given a chance to use his free time wisely. The development of tourism in Croatia is owed to a number of natural and social resources which Zadar has many. Thanks to these resources, Zadar has the ability to incorporate sports tourism and recreational tourism and create an ability to evolve their tourist offer. This paper is analysing economic and social aspects of tourism development as the potential development of Zadar as a tourist destination.
