Abstract
This thesis focuses on Anglicisms in Russian youth magazines. The corpus of sixty Anglicisms found in four different magazines was analysed on the orthographic, morphological and semantic level of the language. The research was done within the framework of contact linguistics and was based on the work of Croatian linguist Rudolf Filipović. The analysis is focused on the nature and the circumstances of the contact between English and Russian language and what changes does such contact produce within the Russian language. The thesis shows that like any other language, Russian is prone to accepting foreign words into its lexis and as such, is a part of the universal phenomenon of language borrowing.
Abstract (croatian)
Fokus ovog diplomskog rada su anglicizmi u ruskim časopisima za mlade. Korpus od šezdeset anglicizama pronađenih u četiri različita časopisa analiziran je na ortografskoj, morfološkoj i semantičkoj razini jezika. Diplomski rad je pisan u okviru kontaktne lingvistike, a temelji se na istraživanjima hrvatskog lingvista Rudolfa Filipovića. Analiza je usredotočena na narav i okolnosti kontakta između engleskog i ruskog jezika te koje promjene takav kontakt uzrokuje unutar ruskog jezika. Rad pokazuje kako je ruski jezik, kao i svaki drugi, sklon prihvaćanju stranih riječi u svoj leksik te kao takav, dio je univerzalnog fenomena jezičnog posuđivanja.
