Abstract
This thesis deals with the classification of modified phraseological units from the first three novels of Harry Potter series: Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone, Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban. For the purpose of the classification Sabine Fiedler‟s work was used, that is, we used the classification into conventional and special types of PUs and after that the classification of modifications. Phraseological modifications are more... More creative and demanding than the canonical PUs. The usage of modifications depends entirely on the author so the outcome of the research is next: out of 1117 PUs found in the series, 111 units were modified. The most common type of the modifications is expansion with 64 units, followed by substitution with 24 units. Ovaj rad se bavi klasifikacijom modificiranih frazema iz prve tri knjige Harry Potter serijala: Harry Potter i kamen mudraca, Harry Potter i odaja tajni te Harry Potter i zatočenik Azkabana. U svrhu ove klasifikacije korišten je rad Sabine Fiedler, to jest, koristili smo klasifikaciju na konvencionalne i posebne vrste frazema te nakon toga klasifikaciju modificiranih frazema. More isključivo o autoru stoga su rezultati našeg istraživanja sljedeći: od 1117 frazema pronađenih u serijalu, 111 njih je bilo modificirano.
