Abstract
Jedan od najdosljednijih nalaza unutar literature o samosuosjećanju jest onaj koji ukazuje na visoku povezanost samosuosjećanja s mentalnim zdravljem. Pri tome, više razine samosuosjećanja vezane su s manje psihopatologija i sa psihološkim snagama poput mudrosti, optimizma, životnog zadovoljstva i sreće. Kako bi slika o samosuosjećanju bila detaljnija i jasnija, potrebno je identificirati i istraživati one faktore koji su povezani sa samosuosjećanjem. Iz tog razloga, glavni cilj ovog... More istraživanja bio je utvrditi u kojoj mjeri pozitivni i negativni perfekcionizam doprinose objašnjenju samosuosjećanja. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo ukupno 837 sudionika iz Republike Hrvatske čija se dob kretala između 18 i 60 godina. U istraživanju je korišten upitnik općih podataka, Skala samosuosjećanja (Self-Compassion Scale – SCS; Neff, 2003) te Skala pozitivnog i negativnog perfekcionizma (Positive and Negative Perfectionism Scale - PNPS; TerryShort i sur., 1995). Rezultati regresijskih analiza su pokazali da su pozitivni i negativni perfekcionizam značajni prediktori samosuosjećanja i kod muškaraca i kod žena. Pri tome, pozitivni perfekcionizam pokazao se kao pozitivni prediktor, a negativni perfekcionizam kao negativni prediktor samosuosjećanja, što je u skladu sa dosadašnjim nalazima istraživanja. Također, rezultati analiza pokazali su i razlike između muškaraca i žena u nekim elementima samosuosjećanja. Žene više izražavaju brižnost prema sebi, u većoj se mjeri pretjerano identificiraju sa vlastitim mislima i osjećajima te postižu veće rezultate na međuzavisnosti s drugima. Isto tako, sudionici starije odrasle dobi su samosuosjećajniji te se u manjoj mjeri pretjerano identificiraju sa vlastitim mislima od sudionika mlađe odrasle dobi. Sudionici koji imaju iskustvo psihoterapije se značajno više samokritiziraju, u većoj se mjeri pretjerano identificiraju sa vlastitim mislima i osjećajima te ujedno postižu niže rezultate na usredotočenoj svjesnosti i samosuosjećanju generalno. Rezultati spolnih i dobnih razlika u samosuosjećanju su u skladu sa nalazima nekih dosadašnjih istraživanja, iako je efekt iznimno malen. Less

One of the most consistent findings in the research literature on self-compassion is that self-compassion is related to mental health. In addition, higher levels of self-compassion are associated with less psychopathology and are associated with psychological strenghts such as wisdom, optimism, life satisfaction and happiness. More aim of this study was to examine the contribution of positive and negative perfectionism in explaining self-compassion. The study was conducted on 837 participants in the Republic of Croatia whose age ranged from 18 to 60. Scales used in the study were general information questionnaire, Self-Compassion Scale (SCS; Neff, 2003) and Positive and Negative Perfectionism Scale (PNPS; Terry-Short et al., 1995). The results of regression analyses showed that positive and negative perfectionism predicted self-compassion in both men and women, i.e. higher levels of positive perfectionism and lower levels of negative perfectionism predict higher levels of self-compassion. Also, the results have shown that there are differences between men and women in some elements of self-compassion. Women endorsed higher feelings of self-kindness and common humanity, and also reported higher instances of over-identifying with their problems than men. Likewise, older adults are more self-compassionate and tend to less over-identify themselves with their problems than younger adults. Furthermore, participants with experience of psychotherapy are less self-compasionate, achieve higher levels of selfjudgement and overidentification and lower levels of mindfulness.
