Abstract Svrhu ovoga rada predstavlja pobliže upoznavanje s pojmovima religije i totalitarnog sustava, kao i određivanje onih elemenata koji doprinose stvaranju svjetovne religioznosti.
Abstract (english) The purpose of this paper is getting closely acquainted with the concepts of religion and the totalitarian system, and determine the elements that contribute to creating a secular religiousness. The main objectives to be pursued by this are displaying the historical dimension of transcendence, as well as the functional ones, primarily with a view to explain and draw attention to the hidden character of communism, national socialism and fascism. Thanks to their ability to offer answers to eternal questions, as well as the solutions for the crisis periods in which they are incurred, the aforementioned political systems are rightfully reffered to as secular religions. Therefore, the first chapter is oriented to the consideration of their occurrence and general functions, while the second analyzes the religious landmarks such as the sanctity of order, dividing the world into two dimensions and the role of the ceremony. Since this is a review paper, scientific "weight" due to the lack of quantitative indicators, was attempted to be substituted by detailed cultivation of the theoretical material.
In spite of that, it could have said that the work has succeed to accomplish the outlined outcomes. Furthermore, the insights have indicated that secural religion has been the product of the recent historical events, i.e. of the social turmoils which originated as the consequence of the French revolution. Due to the fact that secural religion is extremely complex term, the easiest way to understand the characteristics of such phenomenon is to observe its functions in the society (socialization, integration, legitimation). In the latter part of the research paper, the traditional religion has been compared with the secural one with the use of the key terms such as hierarchy, symbols, sacred books, teritory or rituals/ceremonials. However taken the importance and extensiveness of this subject, all written should have been exclusively compehended as the small step in the process of cognition of the religious phenomena.
