Abstract
Program Eko-škola ima izuzetno važnu ulogu u odgoju i obrazovanju za održivi razvoj i u razvijanju ekološke svijesti učenika, no često mu se ne pridaje dovoljno pažnje. Ovaj rad prikazuje princip rada osnovnih škola koje su pristupile programu Eko-škola na području grada Rijeke i Crikvenice te analizira projekte i aktivnosti tih eko-škola . Na podrucju grada Rijeke i Crikvenice je 6 eko-škola od kojih dvije imaju dijamantni status, dvije zlatni, jedna srebrni status, dok se je jedna škola toj skupini pridružila 2010. godine. U radu se ističe uloga koju eko-škole imaju u povezivanju i upotpunjavanju sadržaja redovnog nastavnog plana i programa s izvannastavnim i izvanškolskim aktivnostima vezanim za odgoj i obrazovanje za okoliš i podizanje ekološke svijesti. Zaključno može se reći kako program Eko-škola još uvijek nije dovoljno zastupljen na podrucju Rijeke. Mnoge škole nemaju uvjete ni sredstava za realizaciju programa pa škole koje jesu u programu svojim primjerom rada, aktivnostima i uklapanjem programa Eko-škola u redoviti nastavni plan i program škole imaju zadatak potaknuti ostale škole da se pridruže ovom programu i na taj način više doprinesu očuvanju prirode i okoliša.
Abstract (english)
The program of eco-schools is very important area of environmental education which deserves more attention. This thesis analyzes projects and activities of eco-schools on the territory of towns Rijeka and Crikvenica. On the area of the city of Rijeka and Crikvenica there are 6 eco-schools, two schools have a diamond status, two gold status and one school has silver status, while one has joined this program in 2010. The paper points out a role which eco-schools have in connecting and enriching the regular content of the curriculum with extracurricular activities related to environmental education and raising of environmental awareness. It can be concluded that the program of eco-schools isn't sufficiently represented in Rijeka and Crikvenica. Many schools do not have the conditions nor the resources for the implementation of the program. That is why schools that allready are in programme should serve as an example. Their activities and programs that are embedded in the regular curriculum of the school have the task to encourage other schools to join and help protect nature environment.
