Abstract
Jednu od glavnih prepreki u akvakulturi predstavljaju bolesti riba i ostalih morskih organizama. Za njihovu kontrolu prijeko je potrebno osigurati odgovarajuću raspoloživost primjerenih preventivnih mjera i ljekovitih veterinarskih preparata. Nametničke bolesti predstavljaju ključan problem u akvakulturnoj proizvodnji kod riba uzrokujući mortalitet, deformacije i širenje infekcije na uzgajanoj ribi što dovodi do ekonomskih gubitaka te veće potrebe za korištenjem lijekova. Stoga, bolesti povećavaju troškove proizvodnje zbog izgubljenog ulaganja u uginulu ribu, troškove liječenja, smanjenog rasta oboljelih riba, a uz to bolesti umanjuju i prodajnu vrijednost riba. Jedan od nametnika koji može prouzrokovati velike štete na uzgajanoj ribi je Lernanthropus kroyeri Beneden, 1851 čija pojavnost može dovesti do mortaliteta, krvarenja, erozije i nekroze tkiva te smanjenog rasta ribe. Cilj ovog istraživanja je proširiti spoznaje o nametniku kopepodnom račiću L. kroyeri na uzgajanom lubinu, posebice s obzirom da nema podataka o spomenutom nametniku na lubinu u Hrvatskoj te utvrditi njegovu pojavnost, položaj i ekološke karakteristike. Tijekom ovog istraživanja uzorkovan je 41 primjerak lubina iz dva proizvodna kaveza s uzgajališta tvrtke Cromaris d.d. u Istri, uvala Budava 2019. godine. Biometrijskim mjerenjem zabilježena je ukupna dužina, tjelesna masa i spol ribe. Evidentirana je dominantnost mužjaka lubina u oba proizvodna kaveza. Obavljen je parazitološki pregled na svim škržnim lukovima lubina. Škržni lukovi su izdvojeni te mikroskopski promatrani pod povećanjem od 40 puta kako bi se utvrdila pojavnost, brojnost i spol nametnika L. kroyeri. Obradom rezultata evidentirana je 100 % pojavnost L. kroyeri na škržnim lukovima lubina u oba uzorkovana kaveza. Statističkom analizom zabilježena je najveća prosječna abundancija L. kroyeri na 2. škržnom luku te generalno veća brojnost ženki parazita na škržnim lukovima lubina u oba kaveza. Ovi rezultati mogu ukazivati da je 100 % pojavnost nametnika na posljedica veće starosti ribe, odnosno dužeg uzgojnog ciklusa te viša temperatura mora tijekom uzorkovanja
Abstract (english)
One of the main obstacles in aquaculture are the diseases of fish and other marine organisms. In order to control them, it is essential to ensure adequate availability of appropriate preventive measures and veterinary medical products. Parasitic diseases are a key problem in fish aquaculture production, causing mortality, deformities and the spread of infection on farmed fish, leading to economic losses and greater need for medicines. Therefore, diseases increase production costs due to lost investment in dead fish, costs of treatment, reduced growth of diseased fish, and diseases also reduce the fish's sales value. One of the parasites that can cause extensive damage to farmed fish is Lernanthropus kroyeri Beneden, 1851, whose prevalence can lead to mortality, bleeding, erosion and tissue necrosis and reduced fish growth. The aim of this study is to expand the knowledge about the parasite L. kroyeri on the cultivated sea bass, especially since there is no information of the mentioned parasite in Croatia, and to determine its prevalence, position and ecological characteristics. During this research, 41 specimens of sea bass was sampled from two production cages from the Cromaris breeding farm in Istria, Budava Bay 2019. Biometric measurements recorded the total length, weight and sex of the fish. The dominance of male sea bass in both production cages were recorded. Parasitological examination was performed on all gill arches of the sea bass. Gill arches were separated and examined microscopically under magnification from 40 x to determine the prevalence, abundance and sex of the parasite L. kroyeri. The processing of the results showed 100 % prevalence of L. kroyeri on the gills of the sea bass in both sampled cages. Statistical analysis showed the highest mean abundance of L. kroyeri on the second gill arch and generally higher number of female parasites on the gill arches in both cages. These results may indicate that 100 % invasion of gill arches of sea bass is a consequence of the longer fish size and the higher sea temperature.
