Abstract CILJ ISTRAŽIVANJA: Ispitati stavove i ponašanja učenika prvih razreda srednje medicinske škole Ante Kuzmanića u Zadru naspram psihijatrijskih pacijenata. VRSTA ISTRAŽIVANJA: Istraživanje anketnim upitnikom. ISPITANICI I METODE: U istraživanje su uključeni učenici prvih razreda (1a, 1b, 1c i 1d) srednje Medicinske škole Ante Kuzmanića u Zadru. Istraživanje je provedeno u periodu od 15.02.2017. do 15.03.2017.godine. Istraživanjem je obuhvaćeno 92 od 97 učenika, od kojih 16 muških učenika i 76 ženskih učenica. REZULTATI: Provedenim istraživanjem pokazalo se da 41,3% učenika smatra da su društvene norme glavni društveni faktor koji utječe na stigmatizaciju duševnih bolesnika, dok 29,35% smatra da na stigmatizaciju duševnih bolesnika utječe odgoj u obitelji. 70,65% učenika bi odvojilo dio svog slobodnog vremena za dobrovoljno sudjelovanje u antistigma programima. Nadalje, 56% učenika nema nikakva saznanja o postojanjima programa resocijalizacije duševnih bolesnika u svom gradu, dok 44% učenika je čulo za postojanje takvih programa ali nisu upoznati s njima. U potpunu uspješnost resocijalizacijskih programa duševnih bolesnika vjeruje 28,26% učenika, u djelomičnu uspješnost vjeruje 77,17% učenika, dok 3,26% ne vjeruje u uspješnost resocijalizacijskih programa. Također, 88% učenika smatra da poslodavci u njihovoj društvenoj zajednici ne bi zaposlili osobu s duševnim poremećajem. Prema mišljenju od strane 42% učenika, terapijska zajednica je najuspješnija metoda resocijalizacije duševnih bolesnika, koju slijedi radno-okupacijska terapija sa 28% suglasnosti. 55,4% učenika smatra da stigmatizacija ima potpuni utjecaj na samosvijest i samopoštovanje koje duševni bolesnik ima o sebi, dok 36,96% učenika misli da stigmatizacija utječe na navedeno ali u neznatnoj mjeri. Što se tiče potrebe za specijaliziranom edukacijom zdravstvenih djelatnika pri provođenju antistigma programa, 84,78% učenika smatra da postoji potreba za navedenim. ZAKLJUČAK: U našoj društvenoj zajednici postoji potreba da se aktivno provode antistigma programi kojima će se smanjiti stigmatizacija i negativno mišljenje o duševnim bolesnicima koje je i dalje prisutno. Budući i sadašnji zdravstveni djelatnici imaju veliku ulogu u tome.
Abstract (english) AIM OF RESEARCH: The aim of research was to examine attitudes of the high-school students oft he ninth grade of Nursing school “Ante Kuzmanić“ in Zadar towards psychiatric patients. TYPE OF RESEARCH: Research by polling questionnaire. EXAMINEES AND METHODS: The high-school students of the ninth grade (1a, 1b, 1c and 1d) of Nursing school "Ante Kuzmanić" in Zadar were included in the research. The research was carried out in the period from February 15, 2017 till March 15, 2017. The research included the group composed of 92 out of 97 high-school students, 16 male and 76 female students. RESULTS: This research implementation showed that 41,3% of the students think that social
norms are the main social factor that influences on stigmatization of psychiatric patients, while 29,35% of them think that the stigmatization of the psychiatric patients is influenced by family education. 70,65% of the students would spend part of their leisure for voluntary participation in anti-stigma programs. Further, 56% of the students do not have any knowledge about the existing programs of resocialization of psychiatric patients in their town, while 44% of students know about the existing programs but they are not acquainted with that. 28,26% of the students believe in the complete success of resocialization programs, 77,17 % of the students believe in partly success, while 3,26% of them do not believe in the success of the resocialization programs. Also, 88% of students think that employers in their social community would not employ the person with mental disorder. According the opinion of 42% of the students, therapeutic community is the most successful method of resocialization of mentally ill patients, followed by occupational therapy with 28% of agreement. 55,4% of the students think that stigmatization has the complete influence on self- confidence and self-esteem that psychiatric patient has about itself, while 36,96 of the students think that stigmatization influences on above-mentioned, but in an insignificant measure. Regarding the need for the specialized education of health-care employees for the implementation of antistigma programs, 84% of the students think that there is need for the mentioned. CONCLUSION: There is need for the active implementation of anti-stigma programs in our social community that would reduce stigmatization and negative opinion about psychiatric patients, still present. Future and present health-care employees have an important part in it.
