Abstract
Potporno i palijativno liječenje onkoloških bolesnika odnosi se na sve terapijske mjere koje su usmjerene prema sprječavanju ili umanjivanju simptoma same bolesti. Potporno i palijativno liječenje bi trebalo obuhvatiti i cjelokupnu rehabilitaciju bolesnika, kako fizičku tako i psihosocijalnu sferu bolesnikova života, psihološku i socijalnu podršku, duhovnost, ali i izazove koji stoje pred čitavom obitelji i njegovateljima bolesnika. Naglašava se važnost provođenja potpornih mjera usmjerenih na preživljavanje i kvalitetu života onkoloških bolesnika, kao važnih smjernica u cijelom procesu liječenja. Također, prikaz rezultata iz Ljetopisa iz 2017. godine daje nam uvid u najnovije statističke podatke vezane za sva maligna oboljenja.
Abstract (english)
Supportive and palliative treatment of onkology patients refors to alltreatment measures undertaken for the purpose of preventing or decreasing the symptoms of the actual illness. Supportive and palliatrive treatment should include complete rehabilitation of the patient, the physical as well as the pshycosocial sphere of the patients life, psychological and social support, spirituality, but also the challenges which the entire family and the patients nurses are expecting to face. The importance of applying supportive measures for the purpose of curing and improving the life quality of oncology patients, which are crucial phases in the whole treatment process, is being emphasized. Overview of the resultsof the 2017 Annals gives us insight into recent statistical data related to all malignant diseases.
