Abstract
Diplomski rad bavi se životom i djelom jednog od najznačajnijih gotičkih kipara, Giovannija Pisana. Rođen je sredinom 13. st. u Pisi, a umro u drugom desetljeću 14. st. u Sieni. Za šezdesetak godina dugog života napravio je djela koja su ga svrstala u sam vrh gotičkih umjetnika, ne samo u Italiji već u cijeloj Europi. Umjetničku naobrazbu stječe u očevoj radionici u kojoj je radio kao pomoćnik. Za života posjetio je Francusku te vidio neka od najznačajnijih ostvarenja francuske gotičke... More umjetnosti. Koristeći znanje i utjecaje koje mu je prenio otac te kombinirajući ih s francuskim utjecajima stvorio je vlastiti umjetnički stil. Stilskom analizom Pisanovih djela te njihovom komparacijom istaknut ćemo njegov stil. Svojim djelima promijenio je tijek toskanske skulpture. O važnosti Giovannija Pisana svjedoče i brojni sljedbenici koji su se ugledali na njegov rad i kojim je služio kao inspiracija, ne samo kipari već i slikari. Less
Abstract (english)
The theme oft this graduate paper represents the life and work of Giovanni Pisano, who is one oft he most prominent medieval sculptors. He was born int he mid 13th century in Pisa and died int he second decade of the 14th century in Siena. Sculptures that he produced during lifetime are one oft he most significant works oft he period, both of Italian and European medieval art production. He was formed as an artist in his father`s workshop, where he gained his supreme education and... More worked as an assistant. During his life, he has travelled to France, where he had observed some of of the most significant French sculptures of the time. Combining specific French elements and influences with the style inherited from his father, he formed his own specific artistic style. The stylistic analysis and comparison of his works emphasize the specific style of Pisano. His work and style have influenced the future development of of Tuscan sculpture. The significance of Giovanni Pisano is evident by numerous followers, both sculptors and painters, who were directly influenced and inspired by his work. Less
