The purpose of this paper is to present the results of the research whose goal was to describe the process of characterization and interactions between the characters in Marvel's TV show Agent Carter. The emphasis is put on the representation of a female protagonist as well as the way in which the other charachters act towards her. TV adaptations of superhero comics are the starting point of the analysis based on the fact that mass media has an important role in shaping people's attitudes and opinions, and due to that fact, it can be concluded that the representation of gender role sin mass media shapes the way we percieve acceptable male and female behaviour. Theoretical concepts of patriarchy structures and gender roles are applied to the taxonomy on which the characterization is based on taking into consideration social and historical context as well. The analysis of the TV show Agent Carter is based on the characters' biography, physical appearance as well as their psychological traits, habits and interactions. All of the factors were observed through the spere of patriarchy structures and frames which enable us to create our own representations of reality. What will be concluded based on the results of the analysis is whether there is a progress in the way women are represented in the superhero genre, one that is known for the abundance of gender stereotypes.
