Abstract
Predmet proučavanja je razvoj kopnenog, pomorskog i zračnog prometnog sustava Grada Ploča. U diplomskom radu analizirani su ekonomsko-geografski čimbenici koji su utjecali na razvoj prometnog sustava na prostoru Grada Ploča. Dan je historijsko-geografski retrospekt razvoja prometnog sustava, analizirani su putnički i teretni promet, a naglasak je na dijelu rada koji govori o međuovisnosti prometnog sustava i gospodarstva Grada Ploča. Za potrebe rada korištena je metoda anketnog ispitivanja, kojom se dokazalo da su stanovnici Grada Ploča uglavnom nezadovoljni prometnom infrastrukturom te određenim elementima prometnog sustava.
Abstract (english)
The subject of the research is the development of road, maritime and air transport system of the city of Ploče. This thesis analyses the influence of economic-geographical factors on the development of the transport system in the city of Ploče area. A historical-geographical retrospect of the development of the transport system is presented, passenger and freight transport are analysed as well, with the emphasis on the connections between the transport system and the economy of the city of Ploče. Based on the questionnaire, it was proved that the residents of the city of Ploče are mostly dissatisfied with the transport infrastructure and some elements of the transport system.
