Abstract (croatian) Novi medij su danas postali sastavni dio ljudskoga života, koji kroz digitalizaciju omogućavaju i olakšavaju komunikaciju. Komunikacija kroz SMS i Facebook sadrži značajke govornoga jezika.
Abstract (english) New media have become an integral part of human life today, enabling and facilitating communication through digitization. Communication through SMS and Facebook contains features of spoken language.
The aim of this thesis is the analysis of the fictional orality of German and Croatian in SMS and Facebook. The characteristics of fictional orality are analyzed on the lexical level, examining the phenomena of elision, reduction and assimilation. Dialogue, affectivity, expressivity and less planning will be investigated together with anglicisms and emoticons.
The analysis showed that the dialogue and less planning can be found in both media. The most commonly used phenomenon in both media in the German language is the word-final elision of the vowel -e in the first person singular and the elision of pronouns, while in the Croatian language is the word-final elision of the infinitives on –i the mostly used.
