Abstract
Lokalitet Brdine se rasprostire na samom sjeverozapadnom rubu grada Benkovca. Ukupna istražena površina ovog lokaliteta samo 8m2, a arheološki materijal koji je otkriven prilikom istraživanja lokaliteta, naselje Brdine bez imalo dvojbe svrstava u razdoblje ranog neolitika Dalmacije. Iako je riječ o razdoblju ranog neolitika, mjesto osnivanja ove zajednice je dosta neuobičajeno jer je riječ o brijegu koji je poprilično istaknut u krajoliku. Ulomci keramičkih posuda dominiraju u ukupnoj arheološkoj građi. Keramički ulomci se mogu podijeliti na ukrašene ulomke koji su zastupljeniji i neukrašene. Kod ukrašenih keramičkih ulomaka prevladava ukrašavanje rubom školjke. Ostali arheološki materijal čine izrađevine od kamena i kosti, ostatci lijepa te pokop djeteta.
Abstract (english)
Archaeological site Brdine is spreading on the northwest edge of city Benkovac. Total reaserched area of this site is only 8m2, and the archaeological material discovered during the survey of the site, the settlement Brdine without any doubts, puts back to the early Neolithic period in Dalmatia. Although it is a period of early Neolithic, the place of establishment of this community is quite unusual because it is on a small hill that is quite prominent in the landscape. The fragments of pottery vessels dominate in the total excavated archaeological material. Ceramic fragments can be divided into decorated fragments that are more represented and undecorated. In decorated ceramic fragments, decorating with the edge of the shell is more usual than other decoration systems. Other archeological materials are made of stone and bone, the remains of the daub and the burial of the child.
