This work is based on the secondary and primary data collected by empirical research and analyzes the development of nautical tourism in the area of the Island of Pašman. The main aim of the work was to determine if there is potential for the development of nautical tourism in the area of the Island of Pašman. The specific goals were to describe the meaning of nautical tourism in the tourist offer of the Island of Pašman and to define the advantages and main guidelines for the development of nautical tourism in the area of the Island of Pašman The work contains an overview of the current scientific and professional literature, a review of the secondary data collected in the Tourist Board and the Pašman and Tkon Municipalities, and the key part of the work are the research results through which the primary data on the attitudes of the locals of Pašman and Tkon, the public administration and self-government and the economic sector were collected. After the theoretical framework was set up, questionnaires were created and research was conducted. In the research, it was important to find out the people's attitudes about the current offer of the Island of Pašman, and to extend this same offer in the future. It was also crucial to determine whether the development of nautical tourism has negative or positive impacts on the Island of Pašman. The first part of the work presents the theoretical basis of the concept of nautical tourism, a chronological overview of the development of the Island of Pašman through history, the future of nautical tourism development on the Island of Pašman and finally, the research. The results of the research were processed through a survey questionnaire in Microsoft Office Excel. In accordance to the results of the research, all the hypotheses are accepted, which means that nautical tourism has a positive impact on the development of the island of Pašman, by increasing employment, decreasing depopulation, developing infrastructure and developing supporting activities.
