Abstract
Sociologija religije nastaje iz kritike religije. Klasični sociolozi nadahnuti idejom napretka vjerovali su kako će napretkom znanosti religioznost postati nepotrebna, pa tako i potisnuta od strane znanosti. Takva očekivanja odgovaraju tezi sekularizacije. Da će pojavom moderne društvo postati sve sekularnije nije u potpunosti točno, ali niti netočno. Moderna je utjecala na smanjenje pogotovo crkvene religioznosti. No krajem Drugog svjetskog rata, te 70-tih i 80-tih godina dvadesetog stoljeća... More javlja se novi fenomen bujanja različitih sekti i sljedbi koje se u teoriji nazivaju zajedničkim imenom, novi religijski pokreti. Teoretičari kao što su Peter L. Berger, Thomas Luckmann, Jakov Jukić i Gilles Lipovetsky povezuju nove religijske pokrete Sa postmodernim ili kanim modernim pojavama u društvu. Tako su novi religijski pokreti okrenuti osobnoj dimenziji uspjeha i samoostvarenja, kombiniraju razna učenja: tradicionalna, istočnjačka i sl., a ponajviše je istaknuta njihova konzumerstička dimenzija. Razni pokreti zajedno sa tradicionalnim religijama natječu se na tržištu ponude svetoga, dok pojedinci izabiru iz mora ponude. Naviknuti na spektakl i zabavu ljudi često brzo mijenjaju i nadopunjavaju svoj „kolaž“ religioznosti. Less
Abstract (english)
Sociology of religion arises from the critique of religion. The classical sociologists inspired by the idea of progress believed that science's progress would become unnecessary and thus suppressed by science through it's advancement. Such expectations are corespondent with thesis of secularization. Whether the emergence of modern society becomes more secular is not entirely correct,. In the modern period there was a reduction of ecclesiastical religiosity. But at the end of the Second World... More War, in the 70s and 80s of the twentieth century, there was a new phenomenon of the emergence of various sects, and movements which in theory share a common name, new religious movements. Theorists such as Peter L. Berger, Thomas Luckman, Jakov Jukić, and Gilles Lipovetsky associate new religious movements with postmodern or late modern phenomena in society. Thus, New Religious Movements turn to the personal dimension of success and self-realization, combining different teachings: traditional, eastern etc., and most of all their consumer dimension is emphasized. Various movements, along with traditional religions, compete on the sacred trading market, while individuals choose from the various offers.
