This research is based on the analysis of spiritual and social lives of members of the community Cenacolo. We aspired to get an insight into their everyday lives whose main elements are work and prayer. Also, we explored the importance of religion and family as well as the relationships among the members of the community. The main goal of this paper is to represent the results of qualitative research conducted on a sample of four protégés of brotherhood Cenacolo. The main difficulties of the lives of addicts were analyzed and were also interconnected with used literature. The used method was semi-structured interview. The community was analyzed through the Goffman's theory of the total institution. The main issues are the integration process of new members, the difficulties of getting used to the organized way of living and to the norms of the community, and lastly, the stigmatisation. The results show that religion and family support play a big role in the lives of the interlocutors and that their opinions regarding the importance of family and religion have been significantly modified after they became members of the community. It was determined that the community members adopted new values and knowledge, and also, that their coexistence with other proteges is marked with friendly atmosphere, humanity and support.
