Abstract
Učenje Jeana Calvina i djelo koje su razrađivali njegovi pratioci označilo je početak druge reformacije u kršćanskoj povijesti. Kalvinizam kao pokret uzrokovao je niz vjerskih, socijalnih i političkih događaja. Kalvinisti su tražili svoju emancipaciju kroz hugenotske vjerske ratove u Francuskoj, pobunu u Španjolskoj Nizozemskoj, kao i kroz vraćanje vjerskog morala i crkvene strukture u Škotskoj te kroz utjecaj na puritanski pokret u Engleskoj. Kroz pokret za emancipaciju kalvinisti su stvorili čvrstu doktrinu u vidu dokumenata nacionalnih Ispovijesti vjere, odredbi iz Dortdrechta i Heidelberški katekizam.
Abstract (english)
Jean Calvin's teachings and work which were elaborated by his followers has been known as The Second reformation in history of christianity. Calvinism as a movement caused number of religious, social and political occurennces. Calvinists were in search for their political and social right trough Huguenot Wars in France, Dutch Revolt against Spain, reconstruction of faith and morality in Scotland and Puritanism in England. Calvinist movement has created firm doctrine in shape of Confession of Faith, Canons of Dortdrecht and Heidelberg Catechism.
