Abstract
U ovom radu dan je pregled razvoja GPS sustava kroz povijest i njegovog poboljšavanja pouzdanosti do današnjih dana, pri čemu je najveći pomak u točnosti pozicije za civilnu upotrebu ostvaren gašenjem namjerno uzrokovane greške „Selektivna dostupnost“, 2000. godine. Zatim se u radu navode preostali izvori greški GPS sustava, među kojima je kao najbitniji ionosfersko kašnjenje. Zatim se u radu raspravlja o pouzdanosti globalnih pozicijskih sustava za vrijeme jačih geomagnetskih oluja. Slijedi rasprava o problemima namjernog ometanja i moguće zloupotrebe tehnologije poput GPS ometanja signala i GPS podvala, i o mogućim rješenjima za te probleme. Pokazuje se se da je uz neka ostala rješenja, kao što je primjerice anti ometanje, najbolje rješenje E-Loran sustav koji bi u budućnosti mogao predstavljati pouzdano alternativno sredstvo za globalno određivanje pozicije na Zemlji.

This document gives an overview of the development of the GPS system through its history and improve reliability to the present day, with the largest shift in the position accuracy for civilian use recorded shutting down intentionally caused by selective availabilty error in 2000. Then, the document referred to the remaining sources of error GPS system, including as the most important ionospheric delay. Then, the document discusses the reliability of global positioning system during strong geomagnetic storm. The following discussion of the problems of deliberate interference and possible misuse of technology like GPS jamming and GPS spoofing, and possible solutions to these problems. It is shown that with some other solutions, such as for example anti jamming, the best solution E-Loran system which in the future could represent a reliable alternative means for determining the global position of the Earth.
