Abstract
Plinske turbine spadaju u toplinske pogonske strojeve u kojima se iskorištava energija vrućih plinova dobivenih izgaranjem tekućih ili plinovitih goriva. Plinska turbina pretvara energiju izgaranja plinova u mehanički rad pomoću lopatica na vratilu plinske turbine s kojom je spojeno vratilo nekog radnog stroja. Jedan od najraširenijih izvedbi plinske turbine izvedba je s otvorenim procesom. Izvedbe plinskoturbinskih postrojenja rade s izobarnim dovodom i odvodom topline, a proces može biti otvoren, poluzatvoren i zatvoren. Osim ove postoje i razne druge podjele i namjene plinskih turbina. Plinske turbine su se usporeno razvijele kroz povijest zbog tehnološke nerazvijenosti civilizacije te nedostupnosti materijala izdržljivih na tako visokim radnim temperaturama. Konstrukcijski su jednostavnije izvedbe od većine drugih toplinskih strojeva, što im je velika prednost, a glavni su im dijelovi turbokompresor, komore za izgaranje te sama plinska turbina. Osim glavnih dijelova u plinskoturbinskim sustavima se nalaze razni pomoćni dijelovi čija je osnovna funkcija osiguravanje ispravnog i pouzdanog funkcioniranja sustava. Neki od tih dijelova su filtri, prigušivači buke, zagrijači i hladioci zraka, sustav ulja za podmazivanje i sl. Osim samih konstrukcijskih dijelova plinskoturbinskih sustava važne dvije funkcije su i samo upravljanje te regulacija plinskih turbina. Uz svoje mnoge prednosti plinska turbina je postala dominantno pogonsko sredsvo u zračnom prometu te je pronašla široku primjenu u industriji i pomorskom transportu.

Gas turbines fall in the category of heat devices that exploit the energy of the hot gases produced by combustion of liquid or gaseous fuel and. Gas turbine converts the energy of combustion gas into mechanical work by means of blades on the shaft of the gas turbine with which it is connected to the shaft of a work machine. One of the most widespread implementations of gas turbines is the implementation with an open process. Gas turbines operate with isobaric inlet and outlet of heat, and the process can be open, semi-closed and closed. Apart from this there are various other classifications and uses of gas turbines. Gas turbines have developed slowly throughout history due to technological underdevelopment of civilization and the unavailability of materials durable at high operating temperatures. Constructionally they are more simply designed than most other heat engines, which is their big advantage, and their main parts are the turbocharger, the combustion chamber and the gas turbine itself. In addition to the main components, gas turbine systems are composed of various other auxiliary parts whose main function is the provision of correct and reliable operation of the system. Some of these parts are filters, noise suppressors, air heaters and air coolants, lubricating oil system, etc. In addition to the structural parts of a gas turbine system, two other important functions are the control and regulation of gas turbines. With its many advantages, the gas turbine has become the dominant drive engine in air traffic and has found wide application in industry and maritime transport.
