Abstract
Scenska iluzija je postupno zamijenjena , prvo, preobrazbom realnoga u bajkovito, a potom i u poetizaciju same lutkarske scene.

The Puppet Theatre of Zadar was founded on the 1st of Novemberin 1951 and gain edits status as the professional theatre already in 1960. Following this status in 1960s after professionalized, the first indications of its creative ambitions appeared. Those were the years when puppet poetics went through its metamorphosis in Zadar and when it was perceived in some new way. The theatrical illusion was soon replaced, first by transforming the real illusion to imaginary one and then to the poetization of the very puppetry scene. The Puppet Theatre is intended primarily for children. The performances displayed stimulate children's imagination and creativity, arouse their sense of beauty and develop critical thinking skills. Likewise, not only it adequately demonstrates the reality of life and in stils moral values, but also it facilitates mastering the educational contents and correlation in class. The puppeteersin Zadar do not deny their profession, however, they do not perceive puppetry as plain theatrical art but as a creative medium which is in constant need of expansion and questioning its borders, and which strives to unlimited, global theatre with unrestricted opportunities. Their creative vitality is held within the creative ambition and the willingness for the artistic adventure. The puppet itself is a very powerful tool of motivation which eases the process of mastering the educational content, and on the other hand serves as an incentive for every pupil indivdually in the process of socialization. This work demonstrates how pupils respond to a performance when prepared for it, and when not. How they react to it, in other words, how they perceive and understand it if they attended there hearsal in comparison to a complete performance.
