Abstract
Poĉetak iznajmljivanja vozila seţe još u 1916. godinu kada je Joe Saunders odluĉio iznajmljivati svoje vlastito vozilo turistima. Nakon njega, iznajmljivanju vozila se pridruţuju i drugi poduzetnici, što dovodi do osnivanja prvih tvrtki i razvoja rent a car industrije. Danas, rent a car usluge su postale neizostavni dio turistiĉke ponude svake zemlje, ukljuĉujući i Hrvatsku. U Hrvatskoj postoji 251 poduzeće koje se bavi uslugama iznajmljivanja vozila. Fleet rent a car se smatra jednom od vodećih rent a car kompanija na podruĉju Hrvatske. Svojom širokom ponudom vozila, dodatnih usluga, kompetentnošću zaposlenika i udovoljavanjem ţeljama svojih korisnika su u svega tri godine poslovanja postali jako uspješni. MeĊutim, kako je konkurencija velika što potvrĊuje ĉinjenica o broju poduzeća koja se bave navedenim uslugama, poduzeća su primorana paţljivo izabrati i osmisliti strategiju kojom će zadrţati, odnosno povećati trţišni udio. Fleet rent a car primjenom strategije niskih cijena uspijeva odgovoriti na konkurentske udare, zahtjeve kupaca te uspješno posluje bez obzira na tešku gospodarsku situaciju u zemlji.

The beginning of car rental business dates back to 1916., when Joe Saunders decided to rent his own vehicle to local tourists. After that, many other entrepreneurs joined to car rental business leading to the establishment of the first companies and the development of car rental industry. Today, car rental services have become an essential part of tourism in each country, including Croatia. In Croatia there are 251 companies which are specialized in car rental services. Fleet rent a car is considered one of the leading car rental companies on the Croatian territory. Offering a wide range of vehicles, additional services, competence of employees and meeting the demands of its customers in all three years has become very successful. However, as the competition is strong which confirmes the number of companies engaged in these services, enterprises are forced to carefully choose and devise a strategy to keep or increase market share. By using low price strategy, Fleet rent a car manages to respond on competitive attacks, demands and operating successfully despite the difficult economic situation in Croatia.
