Abstract
Kao relativno nov i u nas slabo istražen konstrukt, radna angažiranost predstavlja pozitivanvid zaokupljenosti poslom i obično je definiramo kao pozitivno, ispunjavajuće mentalno stanje vezano uz rad koje karakterizira energičnost, predanost i zadubljenost u radne zadatke. Budući da radno angažirani pojedinci pokazuju inovativna ponašanja, inicijativu, proaktivnotraže priliku da se iskažu i idu dalje od onog što se od njih traži ili očekuje, čini se korisnim istražiti odrednice radne angažiranosti, posebice one koje nalazimo u okviru modela resursa i zahtjeva na poslu, ali i neke druge, prije svega osobne i obiteljske resurse. Stoga je cilj provedene studije bio utvrditi relacije radne angažiranosti sveučilišnih nastavnika s triju hrvatskih Sveučilišta s nekim prediktorima i ishodima koji su važni i za zaposlenika i za organizaciju u kojoj radi. Sukladno očekivanju, rezultati pokazuju da su doživljena smislenost radnog zadatka, odgovornost za posao i povratna informacija o učinku pozitivno povezani s komponentama radne angažiranosti. Svoj doprinos objašnjenju radne angažiranosti imaju i temeljne samoevaluacije, kao osobni resurs, te sklad u obitelji, kao obiteljski resurs. Nadalje,u skladu s polaznom pretpostavkom, pokazalo se da su energični i predani zaposlenici ujednoi odaniji svojoj organizaciji. Praktične implikacije dobivenih nalaza zajedno s ograničenjima provedene studije i prijedlozima za iduće, u radu se detaljnije obrazlažu.

As a relatively new construct which is gradually gaining more attention in Croatia, work engagement represents a positive aspect of job involvement and is usually being defined as a positive,fulfilling, work-related state of mind that is characterized by vigour, dedication, and absorption. Since work-engaged employees show inovative behaviours and initiative,proactively seek for the chance to demonstrate abilities and go beyond what is being expected from them, it seems useful to investigate some determinants of work engagement, especially the ones from the job demands-resources model, but some others, such as personal and family resources as well. Hence the aim of the conducted research was to determine relations between work engagement of the University teachers from three Croatian Universities and some predictors and outcomes which are important both for the employee as for theorganization he/she works for.As expected, results show that experienced meaningfulness of the work, experienced responsibility for work outcomes and knowledge of results are positively related to the components of work engagement. Moreover, core self-evaluations as a personal resource, and family harmony as a family resource also contribute to explanation of work engagement. In addition, the more vigorous and dedicated employees are, the more organization commitment they show. Practical implications of results along with some limitations of this study and suggestions for the further ones are being discussed.
