Lingua e talento sono due termini ampi e (in)dipendenti. La lingua è un sistema di comunicazione composto da suoni, parole e grammatica, ovvero un'abilità umana unica che consente la condivisione di idee, sentimenti e pensieri. In ambito linguistico si distinguono termini come lingua madre, seconda lingua e lingua straniera. Il talento ha innumerevoli definizioni e spesso viene identificato con plusdotazione, ma vari autori distinguono questi due termini. A prescindere dalle diverse definizioni, si potrebbe dire che talento e plusdotazione sono fenomeni che portano al raggiungimento di risultati elevati, ovvero di successi eccezionali in una determinata attività, anche in campo linguistico. Ci sono molte ricerche che si concentrano sullo studio di una L2 o LS, e per quanto riguarda l'aspetto osservato del talento, o talento linguistico, sono apparse numerose teorie e ricerche in questo settore. Questo documento è incentrato sulle ricerche per il talento linguistico e cerca di ottenere informazioni sul concetto di talento linguistico, ovvero raccogliere tutte le informazioni rilevanti per lo studio del talento linguistico. La tesi contiene una base teorica che spiega la relativa terminologia, presenta la conoscenza del talento linguistico, i problemi principali delle ricerche che riguardano talento e plusdotazione, i fattori che influenzano l'acquisizione di una L2 e/o LS. Il documento presenta anche teorie importanti per il talento linguistico. Tutto quanto sopra è stato supportato dai risultati delle ricerche di vari autori i cui opinioni e risultati delle ricerche si sovrappongono in certi punti e si differenziano in certi punti. Studiando e presentando tutto quanto sopra, è stato osservato che ci sono varie scoperte e ricerche che hanno contribuito alla comprensione del talento linguistico. D'altra parte, sono state osservate molte domande che sono rimaste aperte e alle quali è necessario, se possibile, trovare una risposta.

Language and talent are two broad and non (dependent) terms. Language is a communication system composed of sounds, words, and grammar, that is, a unique human ability that allows the sharing of ideas, feelings, and thoughts. In the linguistic field, terms such as mother tongue, second language, and foreign language are distinguished. The term talent has countless definitions and is often identified with giftedness, but various authors differentiate between those two terms. Regardless of the different definitions, it could be said that talent and giftedness are phenomena that lead to the achievement of high results, that is, exceptional success in a certain activity, including in the linguistic field. There are many types of research that are focused on the study of a second, or foreign language, and with regard to the observed appearance of talent, or linguistic talent, numerous theories and findings have appeared in this field. This paper is focused on the analysis of language talent, trying to gain insight into its concept and collecting information relevant to its study. This paper contains a theoretical background that explains the relevant terminology, it presents the gathered knowledge of language talent, and indicates the main research problems and factors that influence the acquisition of a second and/or foreign language. In addition, the paper also presents theories of big importance for language talent. All of the above was supported by the research results of various authors, whose opinions and findings overlap in certain points, and diverge in certain points. By studying and presenting all of the above, it can be observed that there are various findings and research that have contributed to the understanding of language talent. However, many questions remained unanswered and to which it is necessary, if possible, to find an adequate answer.
