Abstract
In dieser Abschlussarbeit wird die konzeptionelle Metapher in kroatischen und deutschen Texten während der Corona-Pandemie thematisiert. Die Theorie der konzeptuellen Metapher wurde kurz dargestellt. Nach Lakoff und Johnson (1980) werden konzeptionelle Metaphern in strukturelle, ontologische und Orientierungsmetaphern unterteilt. In den Pressetexten über die Corona-Pandemie tauchen viele Domänen auf, von denen die Domäne des Krieges und Kampfes am stärksten vertreten ist. Aufgrund der ähnlichen gesundheitlichen Lage, in der sich die Welt im Jahr 2019 befand, wurden ¨sowohl im Kroatischen als auch im Deutschen ähnliche Metaphern verwendet, die man mit dem Krieg oder Kampf verbinden kann.

U ovome završnom radu tematizira se konceptualna metafora u hrvatskim i njemačkim tekstovima za vrijeme korona pandemije. Ukratko je prikazana teorija konceptualne metafore. Prema Lakoffu i Johnsonu (1980), konceptuane metafore se dijele na strukturalne, ontološke i orijentacijske metafore. U novinskim člancima o koroni pojavljuju se metafore koje povezujemo s brojnim domenama od kojih je najzastupljenija domena rata i borbe. Zbog sličnosti situacije u kojoj se svijet našao 2019. godine, u jezičnoj upotrebi postale su učestale metafore koje su trenutnu situaciju opisivale putem negativnih metafora povezanih s ratom i borbom.
Abstract (english)
The main topic of this final paper are the conceptual metaphors in Croatian and German texts during the corona pandemic. The general theory of metaphors and the groups into which metaphors are divided are elaborated. According to Lakoff and Johnson (1980), conceptual metaphors are divided into structural, ontological and orientational metaphors. The metaphors about corona pandemic in the newspapers are mostly represented and explained with the language expressions connected with war and struggle. Due to the similarity of the situation in which the world found itself in 2019, metaphors that described the current situation became frequent in everyday life.
