Abstract
Cilj ovog rada bio je istražiti informacijske potrebe i informacijsko ponašanje roditelja djece s autizmom. Provedeni su intervjui sa šest roditelja i ustanovljeno je koje su informacije najvažnije za roditelje, koje informacijske izvore koriste kako bi došli do potrebnih informacija, na koje prepreke nailaze prilikom traženja informacija i kako vrednuju pronađene informacije. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju kako su roditeljima najvažnije informacije koje se odnose na terapiju i lijekove koje mogu pomoći njihovoj djeci. Prilikom traženja informacija koriste veći broj informacijskih izvora, a najveće povjerenje imaju u liječnike i druge stručnjake koji pomažu njihovoj djeci. Vidljiva je skeptičnost i sumnjičavost roditelja kada su u pitanju online izvori informacija. Najveći problem kojeg roditelji imaju je nedovoljno znanje i nedovoljno informacija o autizmu i kad je riječ o njima samima, ali i kad je riječ o liječnicima te poteškoće koje imaju u traženju stručnih osoba koje su im važne.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper was to explore the information needs and information behavior of parents of children with autism. Interviews were conducted with six parents and it was established what information is most important to parents, what information sources they use to get the necessary information, what obstacles they encounter when searching for information and how they value the information found. The research results show that the most important information for parents is related to therapy and medicines that can help their children. When searching for information, they use a greater number of information sources, and they have the greatest trust in doctors and other experts who help their children. When it comes to online sources of information, the skepticism and doubt are visible. The biggest problem that parents have is lack of information for them and not enough information about autism, both when it comes to themselves, but also when it comes to doctors, and the difficulties they have in finding professionals who are important to them.
