Abstract
In questa tesi, l’analisi contrastiva delle espressioni idiomatiche che contengono colori è stata condotta basata su due lingue selezionate: italiano e croato. Data l’influenza dei colori nel linguaggio quotidiano, è logico presumere che abbiano una grande influenza sia sulle strutture linguistiche che sul loro uso. Di conseguenza, sono stati analizzati sei colori – rosso, blu, verde, giallo, rosa e grigio, e l’analisi non ha incluso i colori più frequenti e comuni – bianco e nero, perché ci sono molti articoli su questo argomento per questi colori. Indicare il simbolismo dei colori porta alle espressioni idiomatiche, al loro significato (basato sul simbolismo e al ruolo visivo) e alle somiglianze e differenze tra le lingue analizzate. Le espressioni idiomatiche presentate, dato il loro significato e struttura, sono state analizzate a tre livelli di equivalenza: completa, parziale e zero.
Abstract (croatian)
U ovome diplomskom radu provedena je kontrastivna analiza frazema koji u svom sastavu sadrže boje na temelju dvaju odabranih jezika – talijanskoga i hrvatskoga. S obzirom na utjecaj boja u svakodnevnom jeziku, logično je za pretpostaviti da imaju velik utjecaj i na jezične strukture i uporabu istih. Posljedično, šest je analiziranih boja – crvena, plava, zelena, žuta, roza i siva, a u analizu nisu ušle najfrekventnije i najučestalije boje – crna i bijela, iz razloga što za navedene boje već postoji mnogo radova na ovu temu. Ukazivanjem na simboliku boja dolazi se do frazema, njihovih značenja (na temelju simbolike i vizualne uloge) te sličnosti i razlika među analiziranim jezicima. Predstavljeni frazemi, s obzirom na njihovo značenje i strukturu, analizirani su na tri razine ekvivalencije – potpuna, djelomična i nulta.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis, a contrastive analysis of idiomatic expressions that contain colors was conducted on the basis of the two selected languages – Italian and Croatian. Given the influence of colors in everyday language, it is logical to assume that they have a great influence on both language structures and their use. Consequently, six colors were analyzed – red, blue, green, yellow, pink and gray, and the analysis did not include the most frequent and most common colors – black and white, because there are many papers on this topic for these colors. Indicating the symbolism of colors leads to idiomatic expressions, their meaning (based on symbolism and visual role) and similarities and differences between the analyzed languages. The presented idiomatic expressions, given their meaning and structure, were analyzed at three levels of equivalence – complete, partial and zero.
